What??? An independently owned, cool gastropub in East BA?
First, before viewing this post:
#1. Grab your keys, I.D., & wallet.
#2. Make sure you look somewhat presentable (I couldn’t care less how you look to the outside world, but you might).
#3. Ditto #2 for your partner or spouse.
Ready. Set. Date night. Oh, wait…
#4. If you have kids but no sitter, no problem! Main Street Tavern (located on Main Street, Downtown BA) is kid-friendly until 10pm. Other patrons seated near your children will have access to large amounts of alcohol so pack ‘em up!
Fortunately, we had a sitter and I was in the mood for pub food and a diversion from all things toddler.
Pictured above: My choice from their assortment of 28 brews on tap (including locals) ~a Boulevard Tank 7.
We began our dinner with this warm, salty, surprisingly soft pretzel, served with Queso blanco and spicy mustard. Delish! Their beer-battered Mozzarella is a must nosh as well.
After some indecisiveness, I chose the Meatloaf Sliders for dinner. Made with their signature meatloaf, smoked bacon and a tasty house sauce, the sliders did not disappoint, but next visit I think I’ll indulge my inner carb addict and go with the Seafood Mac & Cheese.
Okay, so I was craving mac & cheese. My side of their regular Mac & Cheese was very good. I jacked a little of my son’s a few visits back and had been looking forward to tasting it again.
DJ chose the Mushroom & Swiss Burger (I think he was a little disappointed I didn’t order Seafood Mac & Cheese because he was planning to mooch), but his burger was cooked perfectly. Their pub fries are yum, but I prefer their sweet potato fries (lip-smackin’ yum).
Luscious food & drink + the best company = date night success.

drooling…
Drool=success.
Ha!ha! Yes, I’ve said that a few times and my husband has too. Maybe my wardrobe is a little too colorful sometimes.
Hope you enjoy your weekend!
I will take a nice, juicy hamburger, please add lettuce, tomato, and onion and mao, on a nice soft bun…………lol
Their classic burgers are great as well as the specialties. There’s just something about a burger. Tastes good any day!
Yummy! Next time I’m cruising through Tulsa I’ll grab some grub!
You totally should! I’ve done a couple of other posts on some of our local favorites. Check them out if you can! You won’t be sorry.
You have made me hungry on a full stomach..thank you.. I think.
