Two summer essentials: sun tea in a Mason jar & zinnias.
Sun Tea Concentrate
1 20 oz Mason jar
2-3 bags orange pekoe tea
2 bags fruit tea, your preference
Fill Mason jar almost full with water. Add tea bags. Fill to cover bags. Screw lid on. Allow to sit in the sun for 2-4 hrs or until dark. Dilute to preferred strength in a tall glass full of ice. Use within a day or two.
No problem if you’re an Oklahoma gal who loves the sun.

i love sun tea but have never tried adding fruit tea along with my own tea, but will try it! thanks for the great idea
You’re welcome! I love fruit teas and find it adds a nice touch.
Enjoy!
this is so nice! could be good with loose fruit tea, mint leaves, flower petals etc? thanks for the tip!
You’re welcome! Yes, it could. Mint leaves would put it over the top for sure!
My mom didi this every summer for us when we were kids..nice memory..
Tastes so good, doesn’t it? There’s just something about sun tea…:-)
Love the title of Sun tea in a jar! We don’t have Mason jars to be exact but I’m always keeping my out for them on the shop shelves here in Aus.
Well, any jar would work for sure! There’s just something about Mason jars here that are homey so I had to use one.
