And I can’t wait to eat it! Thanks for following and commenting! Have a wonderful weekend.
i thought they were raspberries at first, which i love immensley, but they are mulberries. i have never tasted them. they look good
They do look a little like raspberries, much smaller though and taste more like a blackberry, IMO. They are pretty on the tree too. Thanks for commenting!
I love this fruit, it reminds me of childhood…
Thanks for sharing this Amy!!!!
Wow! THose are lovely berries. I grew up with a big mulberry tree in the backyard. The birds always got to the best-tasting berries before we ever did and the ones they left tasted horrible in pie. I spent summers with purple feet from the berries that fell. Ha! Lots of mulberry memories. Lemme know how that pie turns out!:)
To be honest, I have not made pie with them yet. I have eaten some and they are quite good (IMO), although I will be adding sweetener. They taste a little like blackberries. There are a few recipes for Mulberry Pie on the web and a few look promising so I think I will work with them and see what happen!
My son came in with reddish/purple stained pants, arms and hands yesterday. So cute! There was a little juice around his mouth.
Thank you for stopping by and for your comments. Have a wonderful day!
yum! i’m about to make a dessert with marionberries, which i think are similar but grow in oregon.
i’ll post about it soon ~ excited to see/hear about your pie
Beautiful picture! I can’t wait to see the pie!
